Our church...is a non-denominational multi-site church with four St. Louis-area campuses where we gather each weekend to study this ancient story found in Scripture that is still transforming lives today. VIDEOGRAPHER/EDITOR...works with the Creative Team to assist with video content creation for our weekend services and other ministry areas across all campuses in unity with the vision of The Crossing. The main responsibilities of the position will be assisting with storytelling through the pre-production, filming and editing of video content. This candidate must be able to recognize and compose visually appealing videos, including multi-camera shoots and on-location scouting. Must be able to consider variables such as number of subjects, time involved for a particular shoot, additional support in camera work, and lighting needs and can think creatively in a group setting, work in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines consistently through self-leadership and time management.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Filming and capturing content
  • Editing photo and video content
  • Assist in media pre-production, planning, and production
  • Administrative tasks (email, calendar, file management, etc.)
  • Creative inspiration (time inside or outside the building that will inspire/spark creativity for your current job)
  • Assist in the production and post-production of video projects at The Crossing
  • Provide new and fresh concepts for videos projects that live in the tension of being culturally relevant while maintaining a solid biblical foundation
  • Creatively contribute ideas for visual content to be used for ministry at The Crossing
  • Actively participate in weekly team and brainstorm meetings
  • Is comfortable working in a fluid, rapidly changing environment
  • Hold ideas loosely and be open to team collaboration
  • Familiar with modern cinema & mirrorless cameras, able to build camera rigs accordingly
  • Capture and catalog footage at major events at The Crossing
  • Additional tasks as determined by manager

WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Proficiency with production equipment, including lighting, sound, camera, and other on-set equipment
  • Experience with video and image editing software, communication skills and attention to detail (preferably Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Experience producing content for YouTube, Vimeo or other online platforms
  • Ability to take quality notes, document work, and translate directives into finalized product
  • Understanding the visual needs of The Crossing church
  • Bachelor’s degree in broadcast or film or equivalent
  • 2+ years working in creative industry or equivalent
  • Experience in video pre-production, production, and post production work including video planning, filming, and editing
  • Mac OSX
  • Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Some Adobe After Effects experience preferred
