Care Ministries Assistant...this part-time 10-hour week position will provide operational leadership during the weekday as well as provide coverage for the bookstore manager as needed on weekends. Facilitating the spiritual growth of our church community through resources and materials available in the bookstore as well as managing the business operations of the bookstore.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR OPERATIONS

  • Oversee inventory including ordering all bookstore resources, establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors
  • Rectifying inventory each month including yearly inventory report
  • Creating purchase orders, receiving book and labeling books
  • Researching vendors for best prices
  • Manage point of sale software

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBLITIES FOR BOOKSTORE SUPPORT

  • Create a safe and welcoming environment so attendees feel comfortable asking questions and seeking resources to help deepen their relationship with Jesus
  • Attend Staff meetings (when possible) at the Chesterfield Campus. These meetings occur every 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month
  • Support Explorations Class Bible Pop-Up sales at each campus
  • Cover 2-3 weekend days a month
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Emphasis on accuracy, timelines, and follow-up
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office including Excel and spreadsheets
  • Previous retail and management experience required
  • Square retail management experience preferred
  • 3+ years management experience necessary
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from attendees
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and organize workload
  • Solid memory for details and new information
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Computer Skills
